  • What is FBLA?
    FBLA stands for Future Business Leaders of America. It is a professional student organization that is available in a majority of schools across North America.

    The FBLA concept was developed in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner of
    Columbia University. The first high school chapter was chartered in Johnson City, Tennessee in 1942.

    These three aspects of FBLA build the foundations for each student's success in the business world. FBLA's mission, goals, and program of work are dedicated to promoting these concepts each and every day. The hope is to unite students across the country in a positive direction towards a brighter future.

    FBLA promotes competent, aggressive business leadership; understands American business enterprise, establishes career goals, encourages scholarship, promotes sound financial management, develops character and self-confidence and facilitates transition from school to work.
